It's going to be a new year. It's definitely time for me to clean out my closet. I am downsizing on some and upgrading on others. I am selling off some of my kicks, even though as beloved as they are to me, I've just never had worn them, bought them just because or only worn a few times over the course of the last 10 years or so. Nike's response to the wedged sneaker craze and I am lovin' it. Same simple and sleek profile updated with a hidden wedge. Why didn't they think of this sooner?!? So cute and loving the silhouette that it gives your legs. No more looking a 'lil stumpy...lol. That was the one thing I hated most about wearing sneakers. They sometimes give you the appearance of being stumpy. Any lift a girl can get is appreciated :)

Arrived: Online Cyber Monday Deals

Never thought that I be one for online shopping, I am now a believer. I'm not a fan of Black Friday shopping due to the commotion, traffic, and people.

For Cyber Monday, I picked a jacket from ASOS (extra 30% on their whole inventory) and Macys (sale plus extra 25% off coupon).

Melody.

Ever had a hauntingly beautiful melody creep in and would up stuck in your head? Well Rihanna's Stay featuring Mikky Ekko from her "Unapologetic" is beautifully haunting. The tone and the way she belts out the vocals just wound its way into my head for the time being. A melody that just resonance and every note just sounds right. The simplicity of the piano paired with Rihanna's vocals, I'll say it again, hauntingly beautiful.

I really love any songs that makes me want to close my eyes when listening, to allow it to draw out my own feelings and emotions. Letting the melody just float over you. Now that's powerful. Makes me think of England for some reason. Her best track in my opinion on her latest album.

Check out her live performance on SNL. This is her best vocal performance to date. She sounds like a totally different artist. Love love the urgency in her voice.
