Shoes, shoes...

My shoes that I ordered during Aldo extra 30% off sale is finally here. I picked up the Reynosa and Pofadder. I liked the Reynosa because 1st I love wedges and 2nd it's a funky type of wedge and kind of resemble something from Burberry. I love the Pofadder. 1st the reason why I bought it was because it struck the right balance between the Tibi Piper Boots and Sigerson Morrison Ilse Boots. I wished to own both but I am not wealthy so an inspiration piece that has the right feel will do. Most importantly it came down to the shape of the toe of the boots.

Honest Tea

I love love this drink and brand. I know that it's been bought out by a conglomerate (Coca-Cola Company) but I still feel that the mission and purpose still holds true. Check out Seth's blog on www.honesttea.com.

I love that it's organic and it states it right there on the bottle no GMO used. Taste good, low calorie, and organic now that's heaven.

After Christmas 2013

Back on the grind. Christmas is over. Me being a grown-up we have to do responsible things like go into work the day after Christmas. Boo! Sometimes I really hate the American corporate culture. We only close when the stock market is closed...boohoo, whatever.

Yesterday and Today

Didn't get a chance to post my yesterday outfit. I'm gonna include what I wore yesterday, what I wore going out yesterday and what I wore to work today plus my purchase from Aldo yesterday. I'm crunching it all in. Sometimes I really like casually polish look with your personal twist. Doesn't take much to make it into a going out outfit.

Shirt from Zumiez on sale for $10. Jean on sale at Forever21 for $16.99. Not bad at all for a pair of black pants with moto zippers which gives it some interest. Boots from Aldo Shoes.

Last night's outfit to AllGood's end of the year at the GoodLife Bar in Boston with sister, Lyz and friend LindaDevastation.

Picked up these last night. Absolutely love them. The heel height is perfect about 3 inch and even more comfortable for walking or for a night of dancing since its a wedge and made of soft leather and not those stiff ones (which can give you blisters from a hard night of dancing).

Compare these Aldo's Jacelyn at $140 (the grey ones are currently on sale for $69.99 on Aldo) to Isabel Marant's Pierce booties at $1,560 (now on sale on netporter for about $900).

The Aftermath

It snowed and it snowed. It's New England. After all the snowfall, I decided to step outside. It's amazing how beautiful it is outside: no people, no cars. It was quiet and the snow was still white. After I raided the fridge. Saw my ingredients and made my masterpiece: homemade ramen. My specialty of course.

Stripe & Snow

Made it into work today. Knowing that a full-on snowstorm is on its way. I was a little nervous since I am traumatized from a snowstorm about 3 yrs ago. It was snowing so bad that cars couldn't move thus leading to my car dying in the middle lane. Called 911 and a they sent a state trooper out to get me. While waiting I had to run across the highway and wait on the side of the highway til the trooper got there. I digress, so today a comfy sweater and knee hi boots was perfect. Simple and comfortable.

Dime, shorty.

Was waiting all day for the higher ups at the workplace to stop me and ask what I was wearing. Casual work weeks for the rest of the year. I am pushing my luck with the casual dress code thing. 

Beanie

Most comfortable thing to wear to keep my head warm. With me always dashing out of the house last minute with my hair still wet, the beanie is a savior. Keeping my head warm, preventing a cold and preventing me from completely looking disheveled. Dark clothing with pink Nike Dunk Hi. Can you tell its casual Friday today?

Contrast: White and Black

All white is so crisp and the black boots just pop. Quite fitting for a frigid New England day. 

Shirt, Mossimo at Target. Got it on sale for $12! Boots, Arturo Chiang at Marshall. White jean, Lola. Got the pants for $10 when the store was closing.

Safari

Channeling my inner Laura Croft/safari outing at corporate America workplace. The workplace can be a jungle sometimes. Cream shirt (tucked), olive pants, brown leather knee high boots.

All Black Everything

I like wearing black. Especially when it's cold. Bomber jacket from Urban Outfitters and scarf (for a pop of color) from Zara. 

Comfy in Black and Grey

Black and grey on this dreary day. Woke up to a mix of snow/sleet. Loose, flowy jacket paired with a black pant, black leather knee high boots, grey tshirt tucked, keeps the look polish but yet comfy.
