Current Trend: Wedged Sneakers

First off, I would like to mention that I adore sneakers but over the years I've been a little bit more discriminate. And I am also a little bit behind on posting on this trend.

Dunks, Air Maxes, Jordans, Adidas, Nike SBs...I have them all. Not only do I love sneaker, I really do love shoes in general. But like the rest of the "47 Percent-er", I've resorted to searching high and low for the best deals and finds or save up for months for a good purchase. Can't be throwing cash at these shoes like that when you have bills to pay (ah the constant battle of being a responsible adult.) But when something is worth it and I keep dreaming about it, I do save, save, save away for it.

The wedged sneakers has been making a place for themselves on the fashion scene and especially with the introduction of Isabel Marant's Bekett wedged sneakers. And I do quite fancy them. With age, I sometime wonder if walking around with sneakers makes me less "adult." Another day, another post for that question. My taste just shifted a bit towards the fashionable, the sleekness, the more polished look. I still love to be comfortable.

Bottom: Isabel Marant's Bekett $665 (similar here)

I shall forgo the above and settle for Zara's Studded Sneaker ($99.90). It gives me the lift with the casual yet polished look of a sneaker and the studs just gives it an edge, definitely not too boring. If Christian Louboutin's spiked sneakers decided to have kids with Isabel Marant's Bekett you would get Zara's Studded Sneaker at a fraction of the price.
